Cash flow modelling is all about your vision! Our cash flow modelling service gives you a financial plan founded in solid figures and expert advice with your success at the heart of it.
Using specialist software to integrate inflation, interest, monetary goals and anticipated changes into your plan, cash flow modelling uses data to help build you a solid financial blueprint. This tool, combined with the expertise of one of our financial planners, we believe, will help you achieve financial freedom and the lifestyle you desire in retirement.
Cash flow modelling may be thought of as a map, helping you navigate your way through your financial journey towards a robust and successful solution. Together, we consider your income, expenditure, investments and debts, then focusing on your goal, we work on mapping out your financial journey.
The value of investments and any income from them can fall as well as rise and you may not get back the original amount invested.
HM Revenue and Customs practice and the law relating to taxation are complex and subject to individual circumstances and charges which cannot be foreseen.

Cash flow modelling is a powerful tool to help you understand whether you are on track to achieving your financial goals. It provides a clear picture of whether your retirement objectives are achievable, and if not, how much of a gap you need to fill.
We start with the end goal in mind and work backwards. What does your ideal future look like (within reason!). How much money will you need on a monthly basis to achieve this?
Once we have a good understanding of this, the software does the rest by taking into account all of your existing income, expenditure, assets, liabilities, savings, investments and pensions. Based on these inputs, and with various assumptions around inflation, interest rates & investment growth, the outputs produced illustrate whether you are on track to achieve your vision, along with various other useful insights to help you make decisions. Your adviser will work with you to examine and interpret the model, helping you build financial resilience and tweaking the plan where there are gaps.
Cash flow modelling helps you consider and make decisions on the following types of questions:
- When can I afford to retire / semi retire?
- How much can I afford to spend in retirement?
- Am I saving enough for retirement?
- Can I afford to gift money to my kids?
- How do I ensure I have enough money if things change in the future and I need to pay for long term care?
- How much risk do I need to be taking with my investments?
- Should I overpay my mortgage or focus on investments?
- What would happen if my partner died before me?
- If we both died tomorrow how much inheritance tax would we owe? And what can we do about it?
